Fulfillment Focus August 14

Last week was IWLA's Fulfillment Forum event in Toronto. IWLA events are high impact and we were able to co-sponsor Supply Chain Social Club and Kevin Lawton's Warehousing After Dark LIVE event to kick off the week.

The main takeaway for me? The best providers are obsessing over how to bring value to their brand partners beyond pick, stick, and ship. Check out my full breakdown here.

Ratings and reviews aren’t a new concept. But we know they play a key role in the purchase process of any good or service. So we made sure we had it in Slotted – with a twist. Ratings and reviews must be user generated to ensure quality and impact.  To help promote transparency and authenticity, and to protect against fake reviews, brands and consultants must create an account to leave a review. The good news is that it’s quick and easy to invite a brand to review. From your dashboard in Slotted it takes five clicks and less than two minutes to request a testimonial from a current or former customer.

  1. Go to Account

  2. Go to Reviews

  3. Select ‘Request Testimonial’

  4. Invite Brand

  5. Send Invite

Why are reviews and testimonials so important?

Surveys and data consistently show that people trust peer recommendations over direct advertisement. It is why Amazon and Google rank products with high-quality and time relevant reviews higher in search results. It is why more and more people head to Reddit as a secondary source of information and recommendations. But the most impactful thing we have seen so far on Slotted is that reviews provide context that traditional advertising and sales can’t. Details like how a brand was happy with their provider and rated them highly, but was open about an unexpected challenge they had.
